Crocheted Baby Hat

* I used a 4.5mm crochet hook and soft acrylic baby yarn.

Chain 34, then turn.

Single crochet (or double crochet if you prefer) in each chain, starting with second chain from hook. Make 33 stitches.

Chain one, turn, single crochet (again, you can do the whole thing in double crochet if you like) in each stitch across, always picking up the back loop of the stitch - this will make a rib effect.

When piece measures about 11 inches (about 28 rows of single crochet), slipstitch together. Draw together to close and make the top of the hat and add a pom pom.

Grab some yarn and make some of these baby hats for newborn infants and help your comminity, it's an easy project and will benefit children. :o)
