I don't know if I have mentioned it here or not, but I love colors, I love yarn and I love crocheting. So, I added up those 3 ingredients and came up with a new project, a flower wreath. (Pictured bellow).
My drawers were full of little scraps of yarn, that for some reason I couldn't throw away... but it was bugging me to have all of that just sitting there, with no purpose. Anyhow, I first decided to make crochet flowers, since it doesn't take too much room to bring that to work and crochet when I have a spare minute.
In a couple of days I had more than 60 flowers, and the urge to do something with them... I imagined lots of things, such as embellishing Christmas gifts, adding lots of flowers to a tote bag, but the big winner idea was the flower wreath!
It took me several hours to wrap the boring foam wreath in yarn and glue all the flowers and buttons... but I'm satisfied with the way it turned out, it makes me smile when I look at it.

This turned out great! Love all the fun colors!
ReplyDeleteThis looks Fabulous!
ReplyDeletei had been thinking of doing something similar, adding crochet flowers and leaves to a twiggy wreath (less flowers needed lol!)
Your wreath has inspired me, thank you so much for sharing!
