The day before yesterday Joyce, a lady that I used to work with at the costume shop, came over and brought me a couple of projects to work on. One of them is this granny square afghan that her 90-something years old mom made a long time ago and needed to be repaired, since her mom doesn't remember how to crochet anymore, someone else had put the squares together really poorly... they were all bunched up and uneven.
So, I have already taken all the black yarn from the afghan and bought 2 new skeins and what you see in this picture is where I am at. I wish I had a picture of how the afghan looked before. The only thing that is making me anxious is charging for my work... I always have a hard time setting up a price. Wish me luck!

And ta-dah, here is the finished scarf that I made with the yarn that gave me so much trouble... not because the yarn is hard to work with or anything, but I was the one not happy with the results I was getting with the projects I had chosen. Now I am happy, and finished!
I love the scarf! Im so into scarves right now. BTW I just TAGGED you! Go check it out and play along :)
ReplyDeleteNice work on all the projects. I learned to crochet from my mom when I was a young teen. TTFN
