
Materials used for this scarf:
- US crochet hook size H/8 - 5.00 mm
- One 6 oz. skein of Caron Simply Soft Heather
Finished size: 4" wide x 70" long (including the fringe)
To begin: Chain 14
Row 1, Abbreviated Instructions: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in ea of next 12 chs, ch 1 (to turn). (13 sc total)
Row 2: Chain 2 to turn (that will be your first DC now and throughout), dc in the next ch, raised stitch (5 dc in the same ch), dc in the next ch, raised stitch, dc in the next ch, raised stitch, dc in the next ch, raised stitch, dc in the next ch, raised stitch, dc in the next 2 ch. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each stitch from the previous row (13 sc total).
** Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until you have the desired length.

ReplyDeleteHi! Love this scarf! I want to use your pattern (you posted this ages ago but I only just found it), but I have a question...I'm a newbie, so easily confused!
ReplyDeleteRow 3 say SC in each stitch for 13 SCs, but at that point don't I now have 32 stitches to SC in (because the raised stitch is actually 5 stitches)?
Okay, your explanation made sense and I finally had time to sit down and do it - although I adapted it into a cowl, which I'm loving (and wearing as I type) - here's a picture!
