My pelvic bones now hurt and I'm uncomfortable walking because of that, but hey, that means I am getting close to having my little boy, which makes me more than thrilled!
Changing the subject...
I am not going to show you the whole project before I list it on my etsy shop (I don't want to spoil the surprise!), but I'm going to give you a sneak-peek... as you can guess, the theme of my project is Spring, and all the crochet roses I made the other day were used for this project and for another one that I have been working on.
Before I finish my post, I would like to let you guys know that my friend Amy is having a give away, just visit her blog and you can learn how to enter for a chance of winning a gift card of your choice.
Cheers!
I remember with my first daughter,I got a scare like that... a whole month before she was due!!!! We had all the stuff in the car and then my friend the doctor who was supposed to deliver her checked me and said I was having Braxton-Hicks contractions... then a month later, he had to go away for the saturday so he asked me to take an x-ray image of the baby because in one of the appointments he felt the baby's head too big, so he could make plans and perhaps I would have a c-section come monday. I went to the clinic to get the x-rays, walked in at 10:30 am, feeling fine... by 12:30 my baby was born!
ReplyDeletedid I mentioned it happened on the ONLY day he was away? and I had no apointment, did not have my bags with me, my parents almost didn't get there before the baby was born, my husband had to leave me alone there for almost half an hour to go back to his workplace and leave the keys so they could lock up when they were finished and the only doctor available was NOT an obstetrician, that we stopped TWICE on the hallway on our way to the delivery room? also, my husband fainted as soon as the baby was born (he was inside with me) and the nurses had to look after him? it was all a Marx Brothers comedy! I was laughing while delivering the baby because it was all too absurd!
ReplyDeleteSo trust me, even when things seem to be whacked out of place, they have a way of turning out fine! :D take care in these final weeks, we'll be anxious to know how it all goes

ReplyDeleteWOW, CT, that does sound like a weird comedy of events. I'm so glad that it worked out for you. Oh how I love these stories.
ReplyDeleteAlessandra, my mom got fully dressed to go to the hospital in the middle of the night. I mean stockings and everything. All the nurses laughed at her! :-) Glad to know your body is making the changes to bring us a healthy little boy. [Notice how I said "us"!] :-)
I am so excited for you...meeting your first little one. I have had three and each time was the best day of my life.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliments!
ReplyDeleteCT, that was hilarious!
ReplyDeleteAlessandra, I guess your baby is just checking how do you get out of there and thinking it would be nice to see his mum's face ;-)
Im so excited for you that its alomost time to have your baby boy. Mine is now 13 and we call him "punkarino". Boys are so much fun! Cant wait to see your spring line.
ReplyDeleteA yarn swap from different countries does sound nice too. Whenever people I know go out of the country and ask me if I want anything, I always say fabric. People look at me like I'm crazy so I guess that's why they give me trinkets instead. But it's just neat how each country/culture chooses patterns and products and colors.
ReplyDeleteI love these stories, Alas, I have none, both my boys came without any fanfare, on schedule & within a day or two their due dates. I am so happy & excited for you both! Can't wait to meet you & baby soon at TG.
ReplyDeleteThe little flowers are adorable!!! I can't wait until you finish up and post some more pics!
