Spring Inspired Topiary

I have been looking forward to Spring, you might already have noticed that... My head is bubbling with ideas, all colorful and bright and cheerful.


This time I am not going to tease you guys, I decided to show you my latest creation, a crochet topiary. I have been putting this together for awhile, trying to figure out what would look good... decided to go with eggs and this super cute tin bucket. I also wanted to make something that was not to wear, but a decoration piece, but I think crochet can be very versatile.


I made two of these (green bucket and yellow bucket) and I don't intend to make any more, at least for now. You have no idea how many times I burned my fingers with the hot glue... LOL






Each topiary is about 12 inches tall and they will be available on my etsy shop on March 6.

    These are really cute. Great job! I love the eggs! Did you paint anything on the tin pails or is is the solid color? Yes, I see crochet can be very versatile! :-)

    Hi there, love the topiary, just right for the spring and a new and exciting way of using crochet flowers. I have a few ideas buzzing around but am not sure if they are good enough to sell.. it's a confidence things as much as anything else I suppose. Maybe I will just take the plunge and see how it goes...then again! Dev X
