I am just loving all the colorful crochet thread that I have and it all started with vase cozy project, which I have already finished, but will wait until I buy some fresh cut flowers to take a nice picture to show you guys.
Today I realized I wasn't ready to put the cheerful and colorful thread away, but at the same time I didn't want to make another cozy... so I had to think of a new project.
For the longest time, I have been meaning to make crochet hexagons, but I didn't want to make an afghan, just because it would be too much work for me right now, and knowing myself, I know that I would obsess with the project and would have to work like crazy until it's finished... so why should I put that kind of stress on myself right now?
Anyhow, I remembered that I had seen a picture of a patchwork ball from Anna Maria Horner's book, and I thought that I could use that idea, but instead of fabric, my ball will be made out of crochet hexagons!
You can find detailed instruction for the hexagons here.
For these hexagons, I am using 100% cotton crochet thread size 10, most of the thread I have is from Brazil.
Cheers!
