Just Be Happy

Sunday, April 12, 2009

Easter weekend was great, I was able to get lots of things done, which makes me really happy.

On Saturday we had dinner with my husband's family, it was great, food galore! I was happy to see that the oreo cookie pops were a hit with the kids! Today, we visited my husband's grandma for a little bit and from there we stopped by Bed, Bath and Beyond, because I really wanted to buy a couple of Mrs. Meyer's products. I had read about it in a blog and since then I was itching to try it, I'm glad I did, it's absolutely wonderful! I sprayed a little bit of the freshener in my bed set, and on the sofa pillows, it really made a difference, I'm hooked! Oh, today I also cleaned the house - it was in desperate need... LOL

Here is a picture of the project I'm working on at the moment, it's a table runner (click here to see where the inspiration came from), I'm using 100% cotton yarn in five different colors.

That's all for now.

Have a great week everyone!

  1. I'm glad you had such a great weekend. BTW, I love your table runner and I love the inspiration piece. I remember seeing that on Flickr before. Hers says, "Hello, Autumn" and yours say, "Hello, Spring"! :-D Lovely.

  2. OK...now I'm off to find a BB&B. The one that we had closed. I'm on a mad hunt now.
    Thanks for the heads up.
So happy you had a great weekend.
    You sure deserve it.
    Thinking of you!!
    ps.. table runner = DARLING!!!

  3. As I said in flickr, I love the colours you chose for your table runner.
    Have a great week!

  4. Hi Your table runner looks like its going to be a nice one.Love the colors.I may have to try that freshner. It sounds wonderful.
    Hugs Marie Antionette

  5. As you can see by my chenille quilts, I love the pastel colors so especially love the table runner you're making. The colors just say 'warm' to me. Hmmmm, I'm going to have to check out the Mrs. Meyers....Happy Easter!!

  6. You are too kind! :-D
I gave the hat to Lynnette last night and she really liked it! :-) She lives in a "real" city and comes down to here to go to church so she may even be able to get yarn to make more hats, since there are craft stores where she lives. * I like living in a small city, but times like this when you need supplies can be hard. You have to drive a distance for anything outside of the basics.

  7. Oh! those are so cute! lol! and there's my little hat too! thank you thank you thank you! (I blushed when I saw the photo! how silly of me!)

  8. You have been productive. Your table runner is going to be so pretty!! I absolutely love mine. I'm glad you had a nice Easter weekend...they can get busy!

  9. Mrs. Meyers is wonderful, I really like their baby stain spot spray, and wonderful table runner!

  10. love the soft colors in the table runner!! it is going to be so lovely!!
