I have spent the whole week inside of my house, well, I did leave three times to take Lucas to the doctor, so I was excited to go to JoAnn's yesterday after my husband got home and watched the baby while I was gone. I bought some flannel fabric, cotton thread and some other things.
Today (Saturday) I caught up on some sleep, which was wonderful, did some laundry, picked up around the house a little bit and started crocheting around the edges of the baby flannel blanket I decided to make.
Here is the first one:
The other one I just ran through the sewing machine, but haven't started working on the crochet edge yet, which will be different than this one. I'm sure happy I had time to craft a little bit, I really enjoy it.
Hope you guys are having a nice weekend as well.
:o)
That fabric is so cute! It's going to be the prettiest of blankets :-)
ReplyDeleteI bought a monkey fabric too! Although I usually get flannel, I opted for cotton. I like the crocheted edge - such a nice touch!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute monkeys!!!! hahaha! they made me smile... it will look great and the crocheted edge will give Lucas an added interest in the blankie (as if monkeys and bananas weren't enough!)
ReplyDeleteglad you got some rest!

Oh, I'm glad that you got to get outside of the house. And what a joy to be able to go to Joann's. Maybe if I cross my fingers and make a wish, they'll build one nearby me. :-)
