Close, but not quite there...

In February I submitted some entries to Vanna's Choice contest and was thrilled when I received an e-mail from Lion Brand announcing that one of my entries was chosen as a finalist. Well, I had to send it to them, but unfortunately my work didn't turn out to be a winner - still, I am proud I got that far.

The entry that made to the finals is this Valentine's wreath, that I made as a tribute to my first baby - Alex, that I had on Valentine's day, but as you guys know, he was stillborn. I named the wreath "Love you forever - Valentine's wreath". Anyhow, I'm looking forward to getting it back from Lion Brand!

Now, let's forget about Vanna's Choice contest and talk about what has been going on lately. Well, I have been taking Lucas with me every day for a walk, for at least 30 minutes, the weather has been so beautiful that it would be a shame not to go outside and enjoy the gorgeous sunny days!

I also have been crocheting when it's possible, gathering recipes and printing them out for my 30 meals plan - I will talk more about that next time when I have pictures to show you.
Hope you are having an awesome weekend!

  1. That wreath is awesome!! Was it your own pattern or you just crocheted it? (I don't know much about Vanna's Choice contest). I think its name is very sweet, didn't know about your child.
    Have a nice weekend!

  4. The fact that you got that far is quite an accomplishment in itself! The wreath is beautiful, as is the story for it's inspiration.

You have an amazing talent and an even more amazing heart.

  9. Alessandra,

Will you be selling the pattern for the wreath anytime soon? I think it is a very beautiful thing and a wonderful tribute to a very special angel! I would love to make one for my daughter's room.

  11. I didn't get an email for the contest, but how did you include your email? Your wreath is definitely worthy of a prize.
