I'm talking about the pile of T-shirts that were going to become rags, but now they have been transformed to yarn and soon they will become a rug for my kitchen!
Here is what I have done so far (each color = 1 t-shirt):
I'm using a US hook "N" (9.00 mm), which makes it grow pretty fast, but now I really need to find some time to go to the thrift shop to get some colorful t-shirts because what I have isn't enough to finish the rug.
yeah. how fun. you are so cool!!
ReplyDeleteWow. You have the best ideas. Just to think of all the t-shirts I have probably gotten rid of over the years. Um, how do you keep all your materials organized. Inquiring minds want to know? :-)

what a great project and way to upcycle. M husband agreed to let me make him a throw-quilt with his old t-shirts - NOW if I can only get him to make the selections *sigh*. Maybe I'll take them all out this w/e so he'll have to choose. :-0 Can't wait to see your finished project.
