Yarn Swap Anyone?

Hello friends!

Ever since Libby did a yarn swap with a ravelry group I have been thinking about organizing one with my blog friends too, I think it's a very neat idea and since many of you are from different countries, it would be awesome for everyone to try different yarns.

Well, I was thinking about swaping two or three skeins of yarn and maybe some chocolate? LOL. Please give me your input, I want to know what your thoughts are and we will go from there.

Also, you would let us know your favorite colors, type of yarn (cotton, bamboo, wool, etc) and favorite candy! LOL

Can I count you in? I need to know who is willing to participate, so I can get your information and send to whoever will be partner.

If the swap is a success we can have lots of them in the future!

*Note: I will be gathering people for a couple of weeks and swap by the end of the month.

  1. I'm in!!! I'm dying to try out bamboo yarn!!!! if anyone wants variegated cotton in the colors of the last items I've shown you just tell Ale!

    and YAAAY for chocolate!

  2. I'd like to join but I can't offer anything good in exchange and that isn't going to be fair. Let me think about it for a couple of days -and look for something not acrylic!!

ps: I don't like chocolate but am craving for some cotton yarn :-)

  3. Im in! Im not picky at all and I have some fun stuff in my stash I would love to share. Thanks for organizing!

  4. Yes, count me in too. I'd love to try something soft and new.

  5. I'm still deciding about the swap. I'll let you know. :)

The book with the scrap jacket is in the booklet "Projects from your scrap bag" Leisure Arts #4594. It's got 6 projects in it I think. I got mine on Amazon. There is a link to it from my blog. Let me know if you get it.

  6. I have more than plenty of yarn, I primarily use cottons at the moment, but would like to try some bamboo.!

  7. Hi, if there is anyone out there who doesn't mind shipping to the UK then count me in. I love pure wool in any shade of pink. As for chocolate...that can be any colour you like!!! Love your green scarf by the way and those shawls are to die for. Dev x

  8. Something came up and I won't be able to join this swap :-(
Hope there are going to be more in the future!

  9. Alex I would love to be in the yarn swap.

    what a great idea.

  10. Hi Alessandra! I've just found you via Dev at the Fairyglade and wow what a find!!!

I would love to take part in your swap, anything that involves yarn and choc sounds fab to me! This will be my first swap - I'm soo excited! hugs Debs xx

  11. I would love to join. I love the new organic cotton yarns and the bamboo and silk yarns. I love almost all colors but no neons. This will be great fun.

  12. BTW~I think yarn and chocolate is a great idea. Also maybe some little packages of tea or flavored coffee-you would have to ask you partner what they prefer. A journal is also a nice little addition to the package. I'm looking forward to this.
