Woo, yesterday I did not have time to blog, I wanted to, but we had company over for dinner, so I spent the day tighten everything up and cooking. The highlight of the night was the cake I made for dessert.
To be very honest, I didn't really plan to make this cake, it just happened... I bought fresh cherries and it's embarrassing to say, but my husband and I weren't eating them, although they were very nice and sweet. I thought it would be a sin to let those go bad, so I searched for a recipe and found a upside down cherry cake, and oh boy, it turned out good - in fact, it's all gone now!
It's a scarf, very easy pattern - found on ravelry, you just have to watch out to have the same tension throughout the whole work and also not to twist the chain stitches, but it works up pretty fast, and it's fun.
Updates: The pattern on Ravelry is ketjusilmukkahuivi (scarf) by Raijis, but it's all in Finnish and the translating tool gives nonsense, so I just looked at the picture really close and came up with the pattern that I wrote on my ravelry page. Also, I used an acrylic yarn, it's called accord print and the color is Canyon, the yarn is made by a company called Sierra Pacific Crafts.
Wow! Beutiful! Up in middle of night cannot sleep and stumbled upon your blog while dreaming of all the crochet I will do this winter. I love this scarf, but cannot figure out the yarn. What type of yarn is it, or what type would be good to use. Your stuff is great and you are so fast! And with a baby. Thank you,
