Just Be Happy

Just a quick post to show you guys the shrug I made last night after baby Lucas went to bed. The idea came from an episode of the TV show "Uncommon Threads" that I had recorded in my DVR forever, but as always, I decided to add my own touch, so I made the ruffled trim.

A quick and fun project that has gotten my head spinning with ideas for new & different shrugs!

I don't have much time today, baby Lucas has an ear infection - poor little guy is not feeling too well today, plus I'm in charge of the Thanksgiving desserts and hubby asked me to make 3, so I better get started!

Before I go, I want to say what I'm thankful for today:

- my filter that allows me to have hot or cold water at any moment, very convinient to make the baby a bottle;
- the YMCA nursery staff that treat my little one so well while I exercise;
- my iPhone to keep me entertained and connect to the world any time;
- my baby's pediatrician, for being so nice and caring;

  1. awesome! it looks fab! sorry to know Lucas is feeling poorly

  2. This shrug is very cute! What does the back look like?

    Ear infections are no fun! When my brother and I were very small, we used to have them all the time. Apparently the doc told mom that if she brought us in there one more time, we would both have to get tubes put in. After that, we never got another ear infection! :-)

  3. Your shrug looks great. I'm currently making one from a pattern. Almost done. And Happy Thanksgiving!!! Hope you have a lovely time and feel very grateful about so much. I'm having a little Thanksgiving celebration with some friends...which isn't an Australian thing to do. We don't have it as an official celebration. But we are doing it Aussie style...with a BBQ!!

  4. Love the shrug, i have yet to make the shrug pattern I got from you. I am going to try and make it before xmas for my daughter.

  5. I am curious about the back of this shrug too, I love its front.

    I used to have ear infections too and they lasted until I was 10 years or so. I still can remember the pain today and can't imagine how can a little baby endure it. Hope he gets well soon!

  6. I think that is one of my favorite episodes of Uncommon Threads! Your shrug is adorable!
