Just Be Happy

Not feeling too good today... but body aches and my throat is sore. I sure hope that whatever I have goes away fast, it's no fun.

Well, but what is fun is the "new" sewing machine that I got! Let me tell you, I went to my mother-in-law's house and she had this beautiful 1950 Singer sitting on the table, ready to get rid of it. I am not a vintage collector, but this machine is so beautiful and it is in such a good shape that I told her I'd buy it from her, but instead she gave it to me. She was happy that I was interested, since this was her mom's machine and this way it will stay in the family.

One day when we have a bigger house, I will have it on display in my craft room. :o)

  4. Those old singers are great! My Grandmother has one that folds inside of a small table. I'm as curious as Libby, does it run?

  6. Lovely!! My in-laws have one that belonged to their great-grandmother and it's in an awful shape. It has almost 100 years. I've tried to buy it from them several times because it still runs and I'd like to restore it but they always say no.

    Hope you get well soon~
