Not feeling too good today... but body aches and my throat is sore. I sure hope that whatever I have goes away fast, it's no fun.
Well, but what is fun is the "new" sewing machine that I got! Let me tell you, I went to my mother-in-law's house and she had this beautiful 1950 Singer sitting on the table, ready to get rid of it. I am not a vintage collector, but this machine is so beautiful and it is in such a good shape that I told her I'd buy it from her, but instead she gave it to me. She was happy that I was interested, since this was her mom's machine and this way it will stay in the family.
One day when we have a bigger house, I will have it on display in my craft room. :o)

ReplyDeleteOh, you've definitely got a keeper! Does it still run? I hope for an all-metal machine such as that one. Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are feeling icky. Get well soon. Love the machine!
ReplyDeleteThose old singers are great! My Grandmother has one that folds inside of a small table. I'm as curious as Libby, does it run?
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky girl you are, I had one like it for many years. The oldies are the best! Hope you feel better soon. Dev x
ReplyDeleteLovely!! My in-laws have one that belonged to their great-grandmother and it's in an awful shape. It has almost 100 years. I've tried to buy it from them several times because it still runs and I'd like to restore it but they always say no.
ReplyDeleteHope you get well soon~
Beautiful! My grandmother had a sewing machine like that! Seeing your picture made me think of her...thanks!!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
I'm soooooo jealous!!!
ReplyDeleteI should dig up my first Brother machine - it was turquoise.
Libby and Nuria - I think it works (it is in really great shape!), but I haven't tried it yet.
