Dinosaur Crayons

So, I have been planning my son's dinosaur birthday party, last time I showed you the "test" cake we made and today I'm blogging about the dinosaur crayons I made to put in the goodie bags.

I collected all the broken crayons we had at home, peeled the paper off of them, put the same tones together and cut them in small pieces with a knife + cutting board.

Then I filled each cavity of the dinosaur shaped silicone mold (that I scored on ebay for $6!) as full as I could and put in a 250F oven. I don't know the exact time the crayons were in the oven, but I'd say about 5-8 minutes.

They come out very liquify, so be careful not to spill! I had a cookie sheet under the silicone mold to make my life easier.
Once the crayons are completely cooled off, you just have to pop them out of the mold and this is what the look like:
There are 4 different dinosaur shapes...

and my little man wanted me to take a picture of him holding the dinosaur crayons too. He loves them and had a blast helping me make them.
