I decided to share with you this flower pattern I wrote, it's an easy and quick project and it's perfect to embellish hats, make headbands, use it in place of a bow when wrapping a gift.... well, you get the idea.
- Worsted weight yarn in any color you want
- Crochet Hook 5.00mm or 5.5mm (whatever you feel more comfortable with)
- scissors, buttons or beads, needle & thread
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
Gauge:
Not essential for this project - yay!
Make an adjustable ring. ch 1 (counts as the first sc), sc 9 into the ring (10 sc total)
Crocheting through the front loops only:
Ch 8, sl st in the same stitch, sl st onto the next st - repeat on each front loop of the remaining scs. (You'll have 10 petals)
Now, Crocheting through the back loops only:
Ch 10, sl st in the same stitch, sl st onto the next st - repeat on each back loop of the remaining scs.
The petals you make on the back loops will be slightly larger than the ones made on the front loops, giving the flower some depth.
Fasten off.
Add a button or beads to the center of the flower using needle and thread.
Love it! So simple and easy!
