Today we celebrated my son's 3rd birthday with family and friends. Dinosaurs was the theme chosen for this year. I don't know why, but I really like picking themes, it makes it easier for me to visualize what I want it to look like.
I baked 3 round chocolate cakes, my husband frosted them, made the fondant and decorated it. He learned how to make and use fondant it by watching videos on you tube. He's such a good husband and dad, I'm very lucky.
My friend designed the water bottle labels and I just printed them in my ink jet printer, cut and glued them to the bottles.
I also made little flags out of card stock paper and glued them to the straws.
I bought a few dinosaur toys at Target to decorate the table and also put the invitation in a frame for decoration. I wrapped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with a grass print card stock paper (bottom left of the picture below) and had green utensils, plates and napkins.
- Croissant Sandwiches (turkey, ham and roast beef)
- Turkey wraps
- PB&J sandwiches
- Chex Mix
- Veggie Tray
- Chips
- Chocolate cake
- Water
- Apple Juice
- Pop (Coke, Diet Coke and Sprite)
It was a dino-mite party!
