Feeling Blah!

I know I once again vanished from here, I promise you I am not doing it on purpose, I just have been feeling really "blah" these days. You might wonder why and to be honest I am asking myself the same thing, but my guess is that I'm just sick and tired of looking at myself in the mirror or trying to find something to wear everyday. I'm not one of lucky moms that sheds the pounds off when they start breastfeeding, on the contrary, I gain weight because nursing makes me hungrier than a lion and I just pig out on stuff I clearly shouldn't be eating.

What's the solution? Well, I finally decided it's time to exercise. So, as soon as the month of May starts and my membership at the YMCA is active again (I had it on hold after I had the baby), I'll start going to my rumba classes again, except I'll be going at night and leaving the kids at home with my husband. I used to leave the little man at the nursery but I just don't feel comfortable doing it right now, it seems like the kids get sick so often if they are left there and since it was my husband's idea to watch them, I'll just take advantage of it and go. It's going to be good for me to get back in shape, to have some time for myself, but it will also good for the kids to be alone with their dad and for all of them to appreciate what I do... LOL

Changing the subject... the school year is almost over, the little man just have until the end of May before Summer vacation starts and today he went with his class to the apple orchard across the street from the preschool on a Spring Walk where their observed the changes since their last visit (Winter).

The trees are absolutely gorgeous, blossoming and the grass was bright green. The kids are sure lucky to have such a beautiful place to visit just across the street.

  1. I think your "blah" feeling is understandable. I'm sure you'll feel much better after you start your exercise routine again. I wish you the best! It's great that your kids can stay at home with their dad...and stay well too. :-)

  2. I remember the feeling well. I'm glad you will be able to get to an excercise class for the wellbeing it will help you to feel. be kind to yourself and excercise to feel fitter and have fun- there is plenty of time to get back into those clothes in the wardrobe as the children get older.

  4. We should walk Chamber Bay together, at least do the top part and then head to the park. I love that the weather is getting nicer!
