My son now really caught the super hero bug, he is all about dressing up in super hero costumes - he has a green lantern and a batman costume he got from his grandma that owns a costume shop and it's not even close to Halloween yet!
Anyhow, I decided to make him some wooden doll pegs super heroes, awhile back I made him some Sesame Street characters and just super man, but this time I made Spiderman, Batman, Captain America and Green Lantern in one day:
After the kids went to bed, my husband and I were chatting and he expressed interested in bringing our son to the movies to see "The Avengers", so I decided to make a few more super heroes that are in the movie, so I made Iron Man, Thor and The Hulk:
I purchased the wooden pegs at Michael's, sketched the characters with a pencil, painted them with acrylic paint and then applied a clear coat to protect them. They were super fun to make and I already have new ideas in my head, even my little girl will get some princesses when she's big enough to play with these.
They look so good!!! love them!
ReplyDeleteHi there! These look great! Can I ask what a clear coat it? Is it a special finish or will I find it where the acrylic paints are? Thanks!
