I saw this idea on Pinterest and immediately thought of my little man. I knew he would be stocked if I made him a super hero t-shirt.
I had a friend over with her daughters and while kids were playing in the backyard we were making them t-shirts. Of course they were in and out more times than I can count, so it took us some time to finish, but I made another t-shirt at night and it was super quick.
Look at me showing my face here, how rare is that? I am always the one taking the pictures, but like I said, my friend was here and she took the first two pictures.
If you want to make some, you will need:
- freezer paper
- a design
- t-shirt
- bleach (70%) and water in a spray bottle
- iron
You trace your design on the freezer paper and cut it out - I used an exacto knife to cut it.
Then you iron the design onto the t-shirt (shiny side down) and then you spray away! Oh, one more thing, you have to put a piece of cardboard inside of the t-shirt so the bleach don't bleed all over the back of the t-shirt.
and ta-dah!
That's very cool! You and your little guy are off to a great start this summer.
ReplyDeleteOh! The possibilities!!! We'll have to try this... thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteYour kids are lucky to have such creative , fun, loving parents. I love all the fun things you do with your kids and I love everything you make. I've been a follower for a while but never left a comment. But I had to. This shirt is so awesome. And I loved the color scavenger hunt. Totally doing that with my kids. Thanks for sharing with us!
