Last weekend was fabulous, really fun. On Saturday my husband left the house bright and early to play golf with his brother, they started playing at 6:40 am at a golf course that is half hour away, they go really early so my husband is back at noon and we can still have family time. Isn't it sweet?
After he got home we went to a frozen yogurt place to try it out and then to the beach during low tide to do some exploring - I'll post some pictures soon. It was windy, but the sun was out and that's something that if you live here in Washington you don't take for granted.
On Sunday morning I told my husband I was going to the park to do my running. I'm doing the couch to 5k program, to help me get in shape, just zumba and watching what I eat wasn't enough, apparently I'm getting old and my metabolism isn't as fast as it used to be. Anyhow, my husband said "why don't we all go?". I was surprised, but really happy about that.
We went to the park (less than 5 minutes from my house) where I run, it's all gravel and I like it because I intend to run a cross country 5k race after I finish the program and I was shocked to see my little man running, he went all the way around the park, about a mile, without stopping! We were asking him if he wanted to hop on the glider board we have attached to our stroller and he refused, he said he couldn't stop running, it was the most darling thing to watch him go.
After the park we went to my mother-in-law's house to pick up some stuff she was getting rid of and she ended up needing some help to fix her fence, so my husband brought me home with the baby and went back to help her with the boy. When they got home we had yummy tacos and then relaxed a little bit...
All of a sudden my husband decided to build a tree house!
The tree house is not fancy, it's just a platform with a ladder, but it fit the little tent perfectly and the little man is so happy about it and thinks that's the best thing in the world.
He was so excited that he begged us to have his dinner in the tree house, which he did. The next morning, he drank his milk and went to his bedroom to change his clothes to go outside and play in the tree house. I feel so happy and so lucky to have the family I have that it even scares me sometimes.
This little license plate was just laying around, waiting for an opportunity to be used, I think it found a good home, don't you?
