Ivory Soap Experiment

So today we did the Ivory Soap in the microwave experiment. I had seen several blog posts and even youtube videos about it, so today we decided to go for it.

I had tried it before, but it didn't work and the best tip I can give you is to make this experiment with a new bar of soap, don't use one you had in your storage, for some reason, it won't work.

Anyways, it is a pretty simple experiment, in a microwave safe dish, cut the soap bar in 4 pieces so you have more "surface" and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes and just watch the magic happen - your bar of soap will become a big fluff!

Wait a couple of minutes before you let your kids touch it, but then, let them go for it.

I got some food coloring out, but it didn't really make anything special, so that part is up to you.

Have fun!
