Crochet Fun for Kids

I think I was bit by a "make crochet stuff for kids" bug. It all started with the making of the stick horses, that got so popular that I had to write up the pattern. (Available here)

Then my friend Mel showed me the little "Oogly Eyes" she made and I had to make some for my kids too. (Available here)

Then last night I had the urge to make these adorable hedgehog mittens from Kat Boldin's book "Crochet at Play". This was the first pattern I crocheted from the book and the only catch was that the patterns are written in British crochet terms, so I had to convert them, but it really wasn't a big deal. It was a fun and easy pattern.

The kids went to bed and I was sitting in the living room alone, enjoying the silence and I still felt like I wanted to make stuff for my kids... go figure! LOL
So I decided to make super hero masks for my son and his best friend (he is coming for a sleepover in a couple of days and I thought it would be fun to have something he could bring home the next day, I hope it doesn't turn out to be a lame choice, haha!), made both blue so there is no complaining, then I thought... well, the little sisters are going to complain, so I went ahead and made two more. (Pattern found here).

I felt like I was on fire! (LOL) Even though my eyes were closing, I decided I *had* to make a little tiara for my princess, oh gosh... I have made so made of these little tiaras in the past that I can make them with my eyes closed, I just love them! (Pattern available here)

And then I went to bed... and woke and still wanted more!

My son's favorite super hero is Spiderman so I came up with these Spiderweb fingerless gloves and he loves them, he's wearing them right now! {I intend to write up the pattern in the near future, so hang in there}

Well, that is it... for now. I hope I have inspired you to make some fun stuff for the little ones in your life!
