I am still feeling fuzzy, jet lagged from the 6 hour time difference, but I am happy we made it even after all the bumps we had on the way. Our trip back started when we left my sister's house and headed to Sāo Paulo, which was supposed to be a 5 hour car ride, but due to traffic it took 7 hours, which didn't matter since our plane ended up being delayed for 2 hours, which in turn made us lose our flight from Chicago to Seattle. Unfortunately there were no more direct flights so we had to fly to San Francisco and come home from there. Anyhow, after 39 and a half hours, we arrived, all of us exhausted, the kids were great overall, there were some tantrums, a lot of time were spent on electronics to avoid crying, we were stinky, we looked like a wreck, but our vacation was amazing, so I say it was worth it.
Oh, and once we got home we had the in-laws over for a late Christmas celebration and my crazy (in a good way) brother-in-law gave the kids (and installed it!) this awesome play structure, now we can play in our backyard more, have play dates, it sure will be fun once it warms up a bit.
On a different note, I have started working again, I am pleased to say that I am feeling very inspired and have started creating new crochet items and I am just salivating to find the time to paint some peg dolls.
