If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you know I have been on a beanie "saga". I haven't revealed the purpose of the beanies I am making because I need to have a some tangible dates and paperwork before I say the reason, but meanwhile I am just working away!
I've many inquiries about the pattern I am using, so I decided to write it and share it with you!
It's a simple half double crochet pattern, it is really easy to memorize and it works up quickly.

Pattern Key:
Ch = Chain
Hdc = Half Double Crochet
St(s) = Stitch (es)
Gauge: 12 hdc and 10 rows = 4 inch square
Supplies:
- I-9(5.5mm) hook
- Worsted Weight Yarn
- Scissors
- Yarn Needle
Foundation round: (starting at the top) Make and adjustable ring; ch 2 and hdc 11 into ring (12 hdc)
Round 1: Ch 2, (2 hdc in each st) around, join. (24 hdc)
Round 2: Ch 2, (1 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st) around, join. (36 hdc)
Round 3: Ch 2, (1 hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st) around, join. (48 hdc)
Round 4: Ch 2, (1hdc in next 3 sts, 2 hdc in next st) around, join. (60 hdc)
Rounds 5-18: Ch 2, hdc in each st around, join. (60 hdc)
Fasten off. Weave in any loose ends with yarn needle.
