Instructions:
Rnd 1: Start with a magic ring, sc 8 into the ring, sl st on top of 1st sc to join. (8 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around, join. (16 sc)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, (2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next) 8 times, join. (24 sc)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, (2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next) 8 times, join. (24 sc)
Rnd 4: Ch 1, (2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 2 sts) 8 times, join. (32 sc)
Rnd 5: Ch 1, (2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 3 sts) 8 times, join. (40 sc)
Rnd 6: Ch 1, (2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 4 sts) 8 times, join.(48 sc) **If you don't want your coin purse to be too large, stop at skip round 7 and continue from Rnds 8-21. You will now have a total of 20 rounds.
Rnd 7: Ch 1, (2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 5 sts) 8 times, join. (56 sc)
Rnds 8-21: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st around, join. (56 sc)
Fasten off. Weave in loose ends.
Finishing:
With needle and coordinating color thread, sew the clasp and purse together. Be patient, this is the most time consuming part of the whole project.
