I finally decided to update the button necklace pattern, it was my first written pattern and I feel like my writing style has changed a lot since then, so since I am making a new necklace to give to a friend, this was the perfect opportunity to blog about it.
Supplies:
- Size 10 cotton thread in your color of choice, I am using beige.
- Size 0 steel hook
- Assortment of buttons that color coordinate with the thread you picked (I used 46)
- Sewing needle (not pictured)
Ch 179, sc in 9th st from hook (button hole for closure made - picture above), 1 sc in each of next 65 sts. [(ch 5, insert a button, ch 5) 5 times, sl st into the same spot you start the 1st ch 5, sc in next 5 sts] repeat 9 times, 1 sc in each remaining ch. Fasten off leave a long tail to sew a button at the end.
Watch the video where I am attaching the buttons here.
Cheers!
